Overview

In this fixed-term Purchasing Specialist role, you will secure materials and services to support manufacturing and innovation. You’ll work within the Sourcing & Purchasing team to maintain reliable supply processes and partner with internal teams to minimize disruptions. You’ll handle transactional purchasing, supplier coordination, and data accuracy to enable operations and continuous improvement. The position offers remote days, a collaborative culture, and impactful work in the health-tech space.

Responsibilities

  • Execute purchase orders with approved suppliers to ensure continuous operational supply
  • Coordinate order confirmations, deliveries, and invoice clarifications and monitor deviations
  • Resolve short-term supply, delivery, and quality issues with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data, pricing, and lead times in procurement systems
  • Support stabilizing material flow by aligning with manufacturing, logistics, and planning
  • Provide input on supplier delivery performance and recurring issues to enable corrective actions

Key requirements

  • degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related discipline would be advantageous
  • experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations
  • understanding of operational purchasing and transactional procurement processes
  • ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail
  • proactive problem-solving attitude and adaptability to changing priorities
  • strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • experience using SAP or other ERP/MRP systems would be beneficial
  • strong Excel skills for analysing purchasing data
  • CIPS qualification or working towards certification would be advantageous
