Overview

In this role you will drive complex procurements and commercial strategies across Defence, major projects & infrastructure, transport, and public sector. You’ll work within PA’s Major Programme Services to deliver value for clients on long-term assignments, shaping procurement approaches and contracting frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage supplier relations, evaluate tenders, and support business change during transitions. This position offers a hybrid setup and meaningful impact by enabling clients to achieve better outcomes through well-structured procurement and commercial management.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run major procurements with clear strategy and contracting approaches
  • Project manage procurement processes including supplier engagement, tender evaluation, and deal closure
  • Advise on system and process changes to transition from legacy to new frameworks and manage major contracts
  • Review and improve client procurement and commercial capabilities, including category management and SRM
  • Provide commercial management for large, complex assignments and cross-functional teams
  • Support renegotiation and improvement of agreements and dispute resolution

Key requirements

  • Experience with large, complex procurements across equipment, digital services, and infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of the procurement lifecycle and ability to drive procurement strategies
  • Experience drafting contract terms and agreements to optimize market outcomes
  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with government procurements and approvals processes is highly desired
  • Familiarity with NEC contract forms is an advantage
  • MCIPS or MRICS Chartered status is advantageous
  • Project management or financial management skills are beneficial
