Overview

As Contracts Manager, you will lead delivery of major contracts across Scotland, shaping strategy, resources and governance to ensure safe, commercially sound project outcomes. You will manage cross‑functional teams, key client relationships and complex, multidisciplinary delivery in healthcare, infrastructure or building services. This role offers regional flexibility and exposure to Scotland’s flagship projects, with a strong focus on value, margin and growth. Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of major contracts across Scotland portfolio
  • Mobilise and manage projects from pre‑construction to completion
  • Manage client relationships, expectations and stakeholder engagement
  • Develop contract strategies, business and delivery plans
  • Ensure contractual requirements, programmes, KPIs and service agreements are met
  • Monitor financial performance including cost, margin, risk and profitability
  • Secure and manage resources to deliver projects effectively
  • Lead, motivate and develop project and delivery teams
  • Collaborate with commercial, design, engineering, planning and construction teams
  • Manage key suppliers and negotiate complex contracts
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation and future growth

Key requirements

  • Proven Contracts Management experience in construction, MEP Building Services or major infrastructure
  • Healthcare or hospital project experience desirable
  • Experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects and contracts
  • Strong people management and leadership capability
  • Strong commercial awareness including financial control, margin, risk and profit
  • Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with design, commercial, construction and supply‑chain teams
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management experience
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with high autonomy
  • Confident communication, presentation and influencing of senior stakeholders
  • Good IT skills including Word and Excel
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel across Scotland
