Overview
As International Tax Manager, you will oversee the tax affairs for a designated region within DLA Piper’s international business, working closely with regional finance leaders and the Central Tax Team. You will drive tax compliance, year-end accounting, and risk management across jurisdictions, while leading cross-border tax projects and collaborating with external advisers. This role offers exposure to global stakeholders and strategic initiatives in a complex, professional services environment. You’ll shape tax strategy and processes to support a growing, multinational practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage the tax affairs of entities within your allocated region
- Ensure tax compliance obligations are delivered accurately and on time
- Review and oversee tax computations, returns and payments
- Lead and support international tax projects and business initiatives
- Manage year-end tax accounting, provisions and reporting activities
- Act as a key contact for external advisers and auditors
- Support transfer pricing, group structure and cross-border tax matters
- Monitor and manage tax risk across the business
- Build strong relationships with finance teams and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Mentor and support junior team members
Key requirements
- ACA, CTA or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong understanding of corporate and international tax principles
- Experience managing complex tax compliance and reporting obligations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and tax research skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capability
