Own the design. Share the expertise. See your ideas take shape.
Your next move should give you compelling projects, colleagues you can count on and the opportunity to stay involved as your concepts become completed spaces.
This role brings those elements together.
Browne Fairchild is recruiting for an established British workplace interiors business with a proud heritage, national reach and a strong, supportive team environment. Based at its Clerkenwell headquarters, you’ll report directly to the Design Director and take responsibility for schemes from the first brief through to delivery.
The company combines consultancy, furniture and fit-out expertise. For you, that means working alongside people who understand what it takes to turn a creative proposal into a finished interior. Product knowledge, technical input and practical experience are close at hand, with colleagues who share ideas and help each other solve challenges.
Its longstanding industry roots bring depth to that environment; the variety of client requirements keeps the work fresh.
And then there’s Clerkenwell.
At the heart of London’s design community, surrounded by showrooms, suppliers and material inspiration, it’s a location that connects your daily work with the wider industry. A fitting base for someone who enjoys discovering products, exploring finishes and developing relationships.
You’ll have ownership, and the backing to deliver.
Projects span commercial and public sector workplaces, from furniture layouts and space planning to more extensive refurbishments and fit-outs.
You’ll interpret briefs, conduct surveys, develop concepts and present directly to clients. From there, you’ll prepare detailed drawings, make specifications and remain involved on site when needed. Your judgement will influence both how a space looks and how it works.
This is a senior, hands‑on opportunity for someone who wants to keep creating while taking responsibility for the complete scheme.
You’ll bring:
- A design portfolio demonstrating commercial office or workplace interiors you’ve personally delivered.
- Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills.
- Confidence presenting recommendations and explaining your decisions.
- Technical accuracy, sound product knowledge and commercial awareness.
- An open, collaborative approach to a busy project environment.
Working pattern: four days per week in the office, plus one flexible working day.
If ownership, teamwork and a Clerkenwell setting belong in your next chapter, we’d love to hear from you.
