Credit Manager – Property Lending

Morson Edge are supporting a speciliase lender on an opportunity for an experienced Credit Manager focused on propoert to lead complex lending decisions, influence credit policy, and support robust risk management across a specialist property lending portfolio.

This would be a permenant role based in London/South East (1-2 days req in South East)

Key responsibilities:

• Assess and approve property lending applications within delegated authority.
• Provide guidance on complex credit referrals and escalations.
• Support lending policy development, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Build effective relationships across commercial, operational, and risk teams.
• Conduct underwriting quality reviews and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Strong underwriting experience across Buy-to-Let, Bridging, and Specialist Residential lending.
• Proven credit risk assessment and lending decision-making expertise.
• Experience owning and developing credit underwriting policy
• Solid understanding of lending governance, regulatory requirements, and risk frameworks.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or quality assuring underwriting teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
