Overview

In this role you lead the Supply Chain function for BDUK from Bristol, driving the vision, strategy, and end-to-end supply chain excellence across three business units. You will manage a large supplier base and a regional network, shaping architecture, governance, and bid input for major campaigns. You’ll develop people, processes, and tools while engaging with UK government stakeholders and cross-border teams to enable sustainable growth and resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end supply chain across three business units (Vertical Lift, Fixed Wing, Digital) in line with BGS best practice
  • Manage a ~250-person SCM function and oversee governance and indirect procurement
  • Oversee 400+ suppliers with >$300M annual spend across UK/US and drive performance
  • Design and implement new supply chain architecture for new programmes and bids
  • Collaborate regionally with EICLA and wider Boeing teams to improve ERP governance and capabilities
  • Develop regional resources to reduce infrastructure costs and ensure sustainability
  • Interface with UK government, MoD and DoT as part of Prosperity commitments and supplier networks
  • Represent BDUK SCM in industry groups and cross-functional communities to leverage One Boeing
  • Drive supplier risk management, growth plans, and new product introduction in Europe

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in supply chain leadership roles
  • Experience in managing a diverse and complex business environment (ideally Boeing or similar)
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain disciplines (planning, asset management, supplier management, procurement, warehousing and distribution)
