Domestic Heating Engineer

Overview

Join an established plumbing and heating business in South East London as a Domestic Heating Engineer. You will diagnose, service, repair and install boilers and central heating systems, working with an Operations team to ensure high standards. The role offers stable PAYE employment, Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with a van, tools, and overtime opportunities. You will manage your own jobs, uphold safety and quality, and advise customers professionally. This long-term role supports career growth in a company with 40+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Boiler servicing and maintenance
• Breakdown diagnosis and fault finding
• Boiler repairs and component replacement
• Boiler installations and replacements
• Central heating repairs and fault finding
• Landlord Gas Safety Checks
• Boiler commissioning and testing
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Identifying additional remedial works
• Providing professional advice to customers
• Manage own jobs with coordination from Operations team

Key requirements

• 3+ years’ experience as a domestic Heating Engineer
• Gas Safe Registration with domestic qualifications
• Strong knowledge of domestic boilers and central heating systems
• Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
• Proven experience in boiler servicing, repairs and installations
• Understanding of gas safety and health & safety requirements
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience with Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi and Ideal boilers desirable
• Experience with unvented hot water systems and heating upgrades advantageous
