Production Technician
Cannock, Staffordshire (Norton Canes)
Pay Rate: £13.00 – £13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 5:15pm
- Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm Holiday: 20 days annual leave increasing to 25 days with service, plus bank holidays
The Company
Our client is a well-established manufacturer of LCD monitors, touchscreens, industrial computer products and information kiosks, supplying a diverse range of industrial and commercial customers. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and conscientious Production Technician to join their team based in Norton Canes, near Cannock.
The Role
As a Production Technician, you will be involved in the production, testing, fault finding and repair of LCD monitors, touchscreens, industrial computer products and information kiosks.
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Goods-in inspection and acceptance
- Product testing and quality checks
- Packaging and shipping activities
- Fault diagnosis and repair work
- Assisting with production and assembly tasks
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
About You
We are looking for a practical and hands-on individual who is comfortable working with small electronic components, connectors and equipment.
Key Requirements:
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Comfortable working with micro-electronics and small components
- Ability to follow technical processes and work methodically
- Competent using Windows-based PCs
- Reliable, enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Able to work effectively as part of a teamDesirable Skills:
Desirable Skills:
- Basic understanding of electronics
- Previous soldering experience or knowledgeNo previous industry experience is essential as full training will be provided.
