Overview

In this role you provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to Nuclear Operations, helping the business navigate commercial contracts, regulatory matters and disputes. You will collaborate across EDF Group to support risk-informed decisions and drive lawful, efficient operations. Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, practical legal advice across Nuclear Operations
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial, construction, property and project-related contracts
  • Advise on regulatory, health & safety and compliance matters
  • Support dispute prevention and management of claims and litigation
  • Manage legal matters end-to-end, including instruction of external law firms
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate into business implications
  • Collaborate with EDF lawyers and stakeholders to solve complex challenges

Key requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with rights to practise in England/Wales and Scotland
  • At least 12 months’ post-qualification experience
  • Experience in commercial and contract law including drafting and negotiating
  • Experience managing or advising on litigation and disputes
  • Knowledge/experience in property, health & safety and regulatory law
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to translate complex issues into practical advice
  • Confidence managing multiple matters and priorities
