Overview

In this role, you help strengthen Serco’s culture of integrity by supporting the group ethics compliance programme. You will handle ethics case management, investigations, due diligence, assurance, reporting and colleague engagement across divisions. You’ll build relationships with Divisional Ethics Compliance Leads and ensure concerns are handled appropriately. The role combines hands-on investigation work with cross-team advisory and communications to raise awareness of ethics and compliance. This is a meaningful position for someone who wants to shape responsible business practices at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and record ethics concerns from Speak Up channels and allocate cases
  • Manage ethics case management processes, including retaliation monitoring
  • Conduct investigations into potential breaches of ethics policies
  • Oversee Gifts and Hospitality Register and support conflicts of interest monitoring
  • Review due diligence findings and assist with third-party and country risk assessments
  • Support ethics compliance assurance reviews and monitor actions to completion
  • Prepare clear internal reporting, including quarterly ethics compliance reports
  • Develop communications and engagement activities to raise ethics awareness
  • Support group-led ethics compliance projects and initiatives
  • Build trusted relationships with Divisional Ethics Compliance Leads and provide practical support

Key requirements

  • Strong interest in business ethics, compliance and corporate responsibility
  • Experience handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity
  • Ability to analyse complex information and identify practical solutions
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple cases and priorities
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication
  • Collaborative approach to work across teams and business areas
  • Personal drive, adaptability and commitment to high-quality work
  • CCEP-I or equivalent qualification would be advantageous; aim to certify within 18 months
