Overview
In this role you will support the Delivery Unit BIM Lead to assure and develop BIM information across a major infrastructure program. You will coordinate supply chain BIM tasks, report interfaces between disciplines, and help translate design into construction using BIM (including 5D/4D) with a focus on sustainability, buildability, and safety. The post is based in London with a mix of office presence and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement BIM per the SCS BIM Execution Plan
- Align supply chain Task Information Delivery Plans with the Master Deliverables List
- Support Area BIM Manager in assigning activities to Task Information Managers
- Produce coordination reports on interfaces between design, engineering, and construction
- Develop design-to-construction BIM processes (5D/4D) for sustainability, buildability, carbon, safety, and maintenance
- Run Project BIM Clinics to enable BIM task teams to fulfil responsibilities
Key requirements
- Educated to HNC or higher in relevant engineering discipline
- Sustained Continuing Professional Development
- Experience across all project lifecycle stages
- Experience in large, complex infrastructure projects (desirable)
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Understanding of BIM in design and construction and the Digital Plan of Works
- Industrialised construction experience (preferable)
- Working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
- Project experience supporting/managing BIM per PAS1192:2
