Senior Quantity Surveyor

Overview

In this role you will lead commercial delivery for large engineering/construction projects, managing budgets, contracts and subcontract accounts from inception to final account. You’ll collaborate with project teams, clients and supply chain to drive profitable outcomes. The position sits in our Commercial team and supports our regulated delivery environment. You will influence change management, risk assessment and reporting to ensure project success and safety excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage project cash flow and budgets
• Oversee contract terms and conditions for clients and supply chain
• Process interim applications per contract procedures
• Lead change management and contract amendments
• Manage subcontract accounts, including payments, changes and final accounting
• Prepare internal cost/commercial reports and margin forecasts
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
• 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying in the engineering or construction industry
• Good working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts (Options C & E)
• Demonstrable experience on multiple engineering/construction projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, clients and supply chain
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• PC literate in Microsoft Office
