Temp support worker/Mothers help required – 03/Dailly/NG

Overview

Temp Support Worker/Mothers Help Required. 10-16 hours per week. Hourly rate: £13.45. Location: remote South Ayrshire, South Ayrshire. Ref: 03/Dailly/NG.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support, including washing, dressing, and stoma care as needed.
• Assist with morning routine: getting dressed, ready for the day, and light housework.
• Prepare wholesome family meals, including teatime cooking.
• Perform household tasks such as laundry, bed changing, hoovering, and general tidying.
• Support transportation: driver preferred; if using a car, fuel will be provided at an agreed rate.
• Help the client move using an electric wheelchair; training available.
• Offer flexible support around school hours and occasional evening shifts, with the possibility of occasional night away.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in personal care and stoma support advantageous.
• Driving license preferred; driver experience beneficial for transport support.
• Experience with mobility aids and handling of electric wheelchairs.
• Outgoing, non‑judgemental personality comfortable around children.
• Must undergo a PVG check and provide two references, one from the last employer.
• Subject to a 6‑month probationary period; contract of employment issued thereafter.
• Holiday entitlement: 5.6 weeks per annum, pro‑rated to hours worked.

Additional Information

The client is a young single mother caring for two children aged 10 and 9, owns two cats, and smokes. She enjoys nature, swimming, and quiet spaces, prefers avoiding busy places, and may offer occasional night away. Hours may change with school holidays; an advanced rota will be discussed.
