IT Solution Architect

Overview

In this role, you will oversee the local IT landscape and ensure alignment with central IT and cybersecurity standards while driving modernisation. You will translate business needs into technical requirements and support secure, scalable solutions. The position focuses on pragmatic architecture, cross-functional delivery, and reducing legacy complexity in a fast-moving trading environment with a sustainability and innovation focus. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to enable business outcomes and technology evolution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain end-to-end view of local technology landscape (infrastructure, networks, apps, cloud, integrations, data, dependencies)
• Interface with Group/central IT to align local initiatives with enterprise architecture and security strategy
• Drive modernisation through simplification, automation, cloud adoption, and better integration
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and contribute to design and implementation
• Evaluate and adopt new applications, cloud services, and AI-enabled solutions with security and ops impact
• Support lifecycle activities (upgrades, migrations, decommissioning) to reduce legacy complexity
• Coordinate technical delivery with stakeholders and external providers with clear ownership and governance
• Assist incident/problem resolution requiring cross-technology analysis and longer-term fixes
• Maintain technical documentation (architecture diagrams, solution docs, inventories, roadmaps)

Key requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or similar technical discipline
• Experience in infrastructure, technical/solution architecture or related role
• Proven experience coordinating with central IT and external providers
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, networking, cloud, applications and integrations
• Experience with implementations, upgrades, migrations and decommissioning
• Familiarity with Microsoft enterprise technologies, including Microsoft 365 and Azure
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities across multiple domains
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
