Senior Transport Planner

Overview

In this Senior Transport Planner role, you will lead and deliver a range of transport planning projects within a leading consultancy in Bristol. Responsibilities

• Managing and delivering a range of transport planning projects
• Preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
• Undertaking transport analysis and assessing development impacts
• Liaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders
• Providing transport planning advice throughout the planning process
• Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing technical work
• Contributing to business development and maintaining strong client relationships
• Managing project timescales, budgets and deliverables

Key requirements

• Previous experience working within transport planning/transport consultancy
• Experience at Senior Transport Planner level or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of transport planning principles and industry guidance
• Experience producing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
• Knowledge of relevant UK transport planning policies and standards
• Strong analytical, report-writing and communication skills
• Ability to manage projects and work effectively with clients, consultants and stakeholders
• Relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline is desirable
