Overview
In this role you protect critical IT and OT systems in a renewable energy setting, acting as a security adviser across projects and operations. You’ll embed security across processes and technologies while leading risk, incident response, and disaster recovery efforts. You work with cross-functional teams to strengthen cyber resilience and support SCADA/OT environments. Responsibilities
- Manage cyber risk and incident response; oversee disaster recovery planning and access governance
- Drive third‑party assurance and cyber awareness initiatives
- Maintain and enhance the Cyber Management System; provide expert guidance to operations and projects
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations
- Identify emerging threats and assess security controls across OT/SCADA environments
- Collaborate with colleagues across ScottishPower and Iberdrola to share best practices and strengthen resilience
Key requirements
- Cyber security experience with solid understanding of security principles, risk management, and IT infrastructure
- Knowledge or exposure to Operational Technology, SCADA environments, and security frameworks (NIS CAF, ISO 27001, IEC 62443) would be beneficial
- Strong communication, collaborative mindset, and ability to work autonomously
- Experience with incident response, change management, governance processes, and cyber resilience
- Professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM are advantageous; SIEM/SOAR experience desirable
