Role/Team overview
The Credit Risk teamprotects customers from taking on unsustainable debt whilesupporting Sky’s commercial ambitions across the UK and Ireland. Wework across product, commercial, finance, trading and operationalteams to understand portfolio performance and improve outcomes forcustomers and the business.

What you’ll do
- Delivermonthly performance reporting: Report on the monthlyCredit Risk performance cycle, ensuring reporting is accurate,timely, well controlled and focused on the decisions stakeholdersneed to make.
- Create thenarrative: Move beyond describing the numbers. Connecttrends, drivers and customer outcomes to explain what is happening,why it matters and what should happen next.
- Deliver actionable insight: Identifyemerging risks and opportunities, commission or complete deeperanalysis, and translate findings into clearrecommendations.
- Shape seniorconversations: Produce and present concise, engagingperformance updates for governance forums and senior stakeholders,simplifying complex credit risk topics without losing the detailthat matters.
- Improvereporting: Challenge duplication and manual effort,strengthen reporting standards and controls, and develop clearerself-service views where appropriate.
- Collaborate across teams: Build strongrelationships across Credit Risk, Commercial, Trading, Finance,Product, Operations and Technology, bringing different perspectivestogether to land decisions.
- Supportchange: Help shape new reporting and governanceapproaches as the team develops, adapting quickly and bringingothers with you.
- Developcapability: Share good practice in analysis, datavisualisation andstorytelling.
EssentialCriteria –
- Relevant experience: Performancereporting experience, management information or portfolio insightin a bank, lender, credit provider or similarly data-led regulatedenvironment.
- Strong performancestorytelling: A track record of turning complexinformation into a clear, balanced narrative with implications,recommendations and next steps, rather than simply reportingfigures.
- Credit or lendingknowledge: A good understanding of consumer creditperformance, portfolio monitoring and the relationship betweencustomer outcomes, commercial growth and bad debt.
- Tableau capability: Practicalexperience using Tableau to explore data, develop or improvedashboards and create effective visualisations for differentaudiences.
- Analyticaljudgement: The curiosity to investigate root causes, testassumptions and distinguish genuine movement from noise.
- Influence and collaboration: Theability to build trusted relationships, listen to differentperspectives, challenge constructively and help teams reach cleardecisions. You can adapt your communication for senior audiencesand bring people together around a shared outcome.
- Delivery focus: The organisation andresilience to manage a recurring reporting cycle alongside deeperanalysis and change activity.
- Clearcommunication: Excellent written and verbalcommunication, with the ability to make technical or analyticaltopics easy tounderstand
Technicalskills
- Tableau: strong working knowledge isessential.
- Excel and PowerPoint:strong capability for analysis, quality assurance andsenior-level communication.
- Experience workingwith large datasets, reporting controls and data-qualitychecks.
Desirableskills and experience:
- SQL: desirable, with the ability to query, validate andexplore data independently.
- Knowledge ofPython or other analytical tools would be useful but is notessential.
