Senior Research Associate in Vehicle-Grid Integration Modelling

In this role, you will lead and coordinate technical contributions to Newcastle University’s Project SUITE, integrating vehicle technology with energy systems to forecast EV flexible capacity and support grid balancing. You will work within a cross-disciplinary team, shaping methodological approaches, disseminating findings, and supporting grant activities. Responsibilities

• Coordinate all technical and management activities for the project contributions from Newcastle University
• Lead complex projects or act as a primary researcher in your area
• Propose enhancements to technical or methodological aspects of the project
• Determine appropriate research methodologies
• Assess findings to inform further investigations
• Contribute to writing, seminars, conferences, and publications
• Present research findings at conferences or in reputable outlets
• Assist grant applications and develop own funding proposals
