Overview

As a C# Developer / Technical Lead, you will steer a squad in architecture, delivery, and production operations while remaining hands-on in coding. You’ll own system design, API decisions, and code quality, collaborating with Product Managers on roadmaps. You’ll mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and champion AI-assisted development tools across the lifecycle. This role combines technical ownership with leadership to grow the team and deliver a modern payments platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the squad across architecture, development, delivery and production operations while coding hands-on.
  • Own system architecture, API design, and key technical decisions; conduct design reviews and ensure code quality.
  • Partner with Product Managers on roadmaps, delivery plans and priorities.
  • Mentor engineers through 1-2-1s, feedback, and continuous improvement; set engineering standards.
  • Drive adoption of AI and agentic coding tools across the SDLC; implement modern techniques and process improvements.
  • Lead from the front with technical ownership and responsibility for team growth and delivery.

Key requirements

  • Strong backend development skills with C# .Net (or other OO languages)
  • Strong system design experience, especially for distributed systems and microservices
  • Frontend experience with Vue.js, React or modern Angular
  • Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
  • Production AWS experience (SQS, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Lambda)
  • Experience owning CI/CD and release processes (GitHub Actions)
  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar AI tools
  • Collaborative and pragmatic communication; ability to explain technical decisions to engineers and business stakeholders
