Overview
In this role you will lead a multidisciplinary Property Maintenance team within the Housing and Property Group, ensuring reliable maintenance across council properties. You will operate within statutory and high-profile areas, often outside standard hours, partnering with senior leadership to drive improvements. You shape housing and property services to benefit residents and communities, delivering responsive repairs, facilities management and related services. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role with a clear focus on transformation and service resilience.

Responsibilities
- Lead property maintenance activities across residential and non-residential properties
- Oversee responsive repairs, caretaking, facilities management, estates maintenance and waste management
- Provide strategic oversight across related service areas and report to Associate Director Acquisitions, Compliance & Maintenance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver statutory obligations and high-profile services
- Support transformation initiatives and continuous service improvement across housing and property services
- Ensure flexible coverage to meet operational demands outside normal office hours
Key requirements
- Senior operational leadership experience in housing or property services
- Ability to work flexibly outside standard hours and respond to operational demands
- Experience overseeing multidisciplinary teams and cross-service coordination
- Knowledge of maintenance, estates, and facilities management within a council/public sector context
