Overview

In this role you drive technical delivery of CFD and thermo-fluid projects, providing SME leadership and mentoring while steering complex workstreams. You will own project management for larger engagements and act as a credible ambassador to customers. You’ll shape proposals and support new business opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality simulations and insights. This is a chance to contribute to innovative engineering services for Fortune 500 clients in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery of projects, including methods specification, model development, and result verification/analysis
  • Support and enable junior staff in technical delivery
  • Demonstrate subject expertise and leadership while developing skills through innovation initiatives
  • Own project management for large, complex projects, ensuring budget, timeline, and quality
  • Act as a professional ambassador to customers and set an example for junior staff
  • Lead new proposals in familiar areas and help identify business generation opportunities

Key requirements

  • Lead technical delivery of projects within a team-based framework
  • Act as subject matter expert in thermo-fluids and CFD
  • Bachelor in Engineering (or higher) with strong CFD/thermo-fluids focus; Masters/PhD acceptable
  • Experience delivering engineering analyses in a consultancy setting
  • Interest in mentoring junior team members
  • Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
  • Experience with CFD tools such as STAR-CCM+, Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM
  • Programming in Python, VBA, or C++
  • Chartered (or equivalent) or working towards chartership
