Overview

In this role you will lead HV electrical installation projects in Scotland, ensuring safe, compliant delivery to time and budget. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and maintain client relationships to support delivery across design, installation and commissioning. The position combines hands-on site leadership with programme and cost management, underpinned by strong HSE and regulatory compliance. This is a hybrid, scale-focused opportunity within a growing power-focused team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver projects from design through installation to completion including programme, budget and resources
  • Coordinate delivery across electrical works and other disciplines such as civils and mechanical
  • Lead on-site teams (engineers, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers) with regular site meetings and progress reviews
  • Control costs and manage commercial change (forecasting, variations, orders, subcontractor payments)
  • Drive H&S and compliance (RAMS, UK standards/regulations)
  • Manage technical coordination (drawings/specs/submittals, liaising with designers/consultants/clients)
  • Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships

Key requirements

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Typically 5-10+ years experience delivering electrical construction/building services projects
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation and commissioning
  • Proven ability to manage programmes, budgets and contracts
  • Confident leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Memberships beneficial (IET, CIOB)
