Overview
As a Transport Planner, you will lead hands-on transport planning projects across a diverse development portfolio. You will collaborate with a growing consultancy to deliver Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and technical notes, and to analyse trip patterns and transport impacts. You’ll manage small to medium projects, supporting early-stage scheme development and contributing to proposals and business development. You join a collaborative, high-performing team focused on delivering client-ready solutions and real-world mobility improvements. Responsibilities
- Manage small to medium-sized transport planning projects with budgets and timelines
- Prepare Transport Assessments, Statements, Travel Plans and Technical Notes
- Analyse trip generation, distribution and transport impacts
- Review access designs, visibility splays and vehicle tracking
- Attend client, project team and local authority meetings
- Conduct site visits and support early-stage scheme development
- Contribute to fee proposals and business development
Key requirements
- Degree qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in transport planning
- Working knowledge of design guidance and planning policy
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Ability to manage workload independently and within a team
- Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, TRICS and modelling software
- Working towards (or interested in) professional accreditation
