In the heart of St Helier, overlooking Liberation Square and Weighbridge Place, The Square brings great food, drinks and live entertainment together in a stylish, industrial-inspired setting. From locally sourced seafood and steaks to weekend brunch and one of St Helier’s best Sunday roasts, it’s a vibrant venue with plenty to offer.
We’re looking for an ambitious Head Chef to take The Square to the next level. As our only dedicated restaurant, this is a standout opportunity to make your mark with the freedom to shape menus, host supper clubs and lead a large kitchen team while driving sales and growth. You’ll bring culinary flair, commercial confidence and a compassionate leadership style, thriving in a fast-paced kitchen while delivering exceptional food every time. Ready to take the reins? What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading the kitchen team to deliver consistently high-quality food that keeps guests coming back for more.
- Taking ownership of all aspects of kitchen operations, from food quality and safety to stock and labour control.
- Inspiring, mentoring and developing your team, creating a culture of learning and progression.
- Driving menu execution, innovation and consistency across every service.
- Managing kitchen performance, budgets and food margins while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Working closely with the General Manager to deliver a successful and profitable business.
- Creating a positive, collaborative environment where great food and teamwork go hand in hand.
