The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Residential Care Home Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our home. You will be responsible for ensuring outstanding care delivery, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive environment for residents, families, and staff.
This is a key leadership role requiring excellent organisational skills, strong clinical or care knowledge, and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective leadership and management across all aspects of the home.
- Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations, internal policies, and sector legislation.
- Maintain high standards of care, safeguarding, dignity, and resident wellbeing.
- Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.
- Manage residents personal allowance and ledgers.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and external agencies.
- Lead quality assurance processes, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure safe medication management, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture for staff and residents.
About You
- Proven experience as a Care Home Manager, Deputy Manager, or senior leader in adult social care.
- Strong understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills.
- Ability to manage resources, and operational priorities effectively.
- Compassionate, resident-focused, and committed to delivering outstanding care.
- NVQ/QCF Level 5 in Leadership & Management for Health and Social Care (or working towards).
