An established and respected multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join its Aberdeen office. With a strong presence across Scotland and a diverse portfolio of projects, the business delivers professional quantity surveying and cost consultancy services across the commercial, residential, education, healthcare and public sectors.
Your new role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering cost management services across a range of construction projects from inception through to completion. Working closely with senior team members and clients, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cost estimates, budgets and feasibility studies
- Managing tender processes and procurement strategies
- Producing contract documentation and administering contracts
- Cost reporting and financial management throughout project lifecycles
- Valuations, variations and final account negotiations
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting the successful delivery of projects across a variety of sectors
This role would suit a mid-level Quantity Surveyor looking to further develop their consultancy experience within a supportive and growing team.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Previous quantity surveying experience within a consultancy/PQS environment
- Strong understanding of pre-contract and post-contract cost management
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Working towards MRICS status or already chartered would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence desirable
