We are seeking an experienced and qualified Commercial Catering Gas Engineer to join our growing service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of commercial catering equipment across restaurants, hotels, schools, healthcare facilities, and other commercial food service environments.nnnThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.nnn Key Responsibilities nnn Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair commercial catering equipment, including gas-fired appliances.nnn Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits in accordance with customer contracts.nnn Attend reactive breakdowns and fault-finding calls.nnn Install and commission commercial catering equipment where required.nnn Conduct gas safety inspections and testing in compliance with current regulations.nnn Complete all service reports, certification, and documentation accurately and promptly.nnn Liaise professionally with customers, site managers, and kitchen staff.nnn Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements and company procedures.nnn Manage van stock and ensure company tools and equipment are maintained.nnn Participate in the on-call rota as required.nnn Equipment Experience nnnExperience working on a range of commercial catering equipment including:nnn Combination ovensnnn Ranges and cookersnnn Fryersnnn Grills and chargrillsnnn Salamandersnnn Bratt pansnnn Boilers and water heaters associated with catering operationsnnn Dishwashers and warewashing equipment (advantageous)nnn Refrigeration equipment (advantageous but not essential)nnn Essential Requirements nnn Current Commercial Gas Qualifications, including:nnno COMCAT 1nnno COMCAT 3nnno COMCAT 5nnn Valid Gas Safe Registration.nnn Proven experience servicing and repairing commercial catering equipment.nnn Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.nnn Full UK Driving Licence.nnn Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.nnn Excellent communication and customer service skills.nnn Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.nnn Desirable Qualifications nnn COMCAT 2 qualification.nnn Electrical fault-finding experience.nnn LPG qualifications.nnn Refrigeration or F-Gas certification.nnn Manufacturer training certifications.nnn What We Offer nnn Competitive salary with regular overtime opportunities.nnn Company vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone, and specialist tools.nnn Company pension scheme.nnn Ongoing manufacturer and industry training.nnn Career development opportunities.nnn Uniform and PPE provided.nnn 28 days annual leave including bank holidays.nnn Supportive and professional working environment.nnn Why Join Us? nnnWe are a well-established and growing commercial catering equipment specialist with an excellent reputation for service and customer support.
