Overview

As a Lead Consultant for Workday Accounting Center, you will design, configure and support accounting solutions that enable accurate, scalable, and auditable entries from both Workday and external sources. You will serve as the functional SME, shaping event-driven accounting frameworks and ensuring entries align with GAAP/IFRS. You’ll collaborate with Accounting, Finance Ops, and Technical Integration teams to support close, reconciliation, audit, and compliance, while driving automation and reducing manual journals. This role sits at the intersection of finance and technology, enabling high-volume transaction processing in a compliant, scalable way. You will contribute to Infosys’ mission-‑

Responsibilities

• Own functional design for Workday Accounting Center, including accounting rules, event types, and ledger postings
• Translate business events into accounting logic
• Design scalable accounting frameworks for high transaction volumes
• Configure Accounting Center components: sources, rules, dimensions, and postings
• Partner with Integration teams to map inbound data from source systems
• Review and validate configuration completed by partners or analysts
• Support close, reconciliation, audit, and compliance outcomes
• Ensure data accuracy, traceability, and auditability

Key requirements

• 6+ years of experience implementing Workday Accounting Center
• Experience configuring Workday Accounting Center rules and events
• Familiarity with Workday Financials data model and worktags
