Deputy Manager – RGN

Overview

In this role you support the General Manager to run a compliant, person-centred care home that delivers safe, caring and stimulating experiences for residents and visitors. You will lead a staff team, uphold medication policies, and monitor resident wellbeing within professional and commercial targets. You’ll engage in monthly audits, clinical meetings, and continuous improvement, contributing to Avery’s mission of meaningful lives together. This is a hands-on leadership position in a respected, award-winning provider with a strong culture of care and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership and management to the staff team
• Ensure medication policies and procedures are followed and assist with medication reviews
• Monitor resident wellbeing and care plans; respond to changes in care needs
• Complete monthly audits and quality indicator reports
• Attend weekly clinical meetings and oversee clinical risk areas

Key requirements

• Current NMC PIN
• Nursing qualification
• Minimum two years in a similar care environment in a management role
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication; IT proficiency
• Adaptive and flexible to cover short-notice responsibilities
