Overview

In this role you will advance the Retail Pricing strategy for AXA Health’s Individual PMI and non-PMI portfolios. You will work within the Pricing team to refine pricing models, optimise rates and balance volume with value. You’ll apply advanced analytics and regulatory-aware modelling to support migrations and pricing governance. The position offers impact through pricing transformation and cross-functional collaboration in a large, customer-focused insurer.

Responsibilities

  • Build behavioural, demand, and market premium models in Radar that are robust and compliant; continuously improve value
  • Monitor model performance, propose reviews, and implement agile rating changes; maintain Radar LTV models
  • Refine Radar optimisation and rating models to hit volume/value targets; act on insights to improve trading performance
  • Provide pricing recommendations for legacy PMI and non-PMI portfolios ahead of migration, informing proposals and migration pricing
  • Support Portfolio Management by evaluating new deals, offers, and tests; ensure fair pricing policy and pricing conduct
  • Ensure robust modelling and performance data; coordinate with Data & Systems team for improvements
  • Coach and mentor junior Pricing Analysts; peer-review models and suggest enhancements
  • Foster effective cross-functional relationships with Pricing, Distribution, Propositions, Finance, Medical Underwriting and Compliance

Key requirements

  • Expert knowledge of retail pricing data and modelling techniques (GLMs, GBMs) within insurance
  • Expert knowledge of price optimisation and actuarial techniques including reserving and P&L dynamics
  • Significant experience using Radar pricing software
  • Higher education in mathematics or statistics; ideally approaching actuarial qualification
  • Understanding of the regulatory environment and dynamics of large organisations
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills; delivery-focused and improvement-oriented
