Overview
In this IPC Planner role, you will help manage the level 2/4 integrated work schedule (IWS) for the HPC project, under the IPC planning manager. You will align schedules across levels, provide time-related data and analysis, and support decision-making to keep the delivery on track. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to uphold project controls standards and governance. This is a chance to contribute to a high-profile, multi-year infrastructure programme while advancing planning expertise in a nuclear context.

Responsibilities
- Support the IPC lead planner in implementing and maintaining project controls planning processes
- Assist senior project/programme managers
- Produce monthly reports with intelligent information and analysis
- Collaborate with Integrated Project Controls and other project support functions
- Produce and maintain the schedule baseline IWS in Primavera P6 (P6) aligned to WBS
- Ensure level 2/4 IWS is updated within agreed timeframes
- Contribute to trend and change analysis, generate KPIs and identify risks and opportunities
- Identify and provide solutions to time-related issues
- Coordinate and produce project-level schedule reports with commentary on drivers
- Adhere to governance and scheduling standards and procedures
- Protect sensitive nuclear information per EDF policies
- Provide functional management and ensure governance compliance of direct reports
- Drive continuous improvement in discipline performance and best practices
- Foster collaboration with programme teams and industry partners
- Support recruitment for the discipline and exemplify HPC/EDF values
Key requirements
- Detailed scheduling methodologies and techniques
- Engineering/Construction knowledge in UK context
- Ability to produce accurate, fully logic-linked construction plans
- Proficient with Primavera P6
- Understanding of estimating, cost and risk disciplines and software
- Understanding of earned value analysis
- Experience with NEC/FIDIC contracts
- Degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent qualifications) and Chartered status
- Proven project controls or scheduling experience on a major construction project
- Experience with Primavera P6 v7+ and earned value tools (e.g., Ecosystem)
- Experience with developing estimates and budgets for large programs
- Experience in large integrated teams across full project lifecycle
- Experience with risk management tools (e.g., ARM)
