Commercial Counsel – London

Overview

As Commercial Counsel in Marsh Legal, you will advise on commercial, regulatory, governance and operational matters for Now Pensions and broader Marsh business. You’ll handle day-to-day contractual queries and support risk strategy and innovation projects. You will partner with the business to manage risk while sustaining commercial objectives. This role offers in-house exposure to pension, financial services and digital initiatives within a global professional services firm, with a focus on practical solutions and career development.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal issues as appropriate
• Manage day-to-day contractual queries
• Identify risk issues and escalate as needed
• Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge for compliance
• Support innovation and risk assessment for new products and projects
• Report on cases and trends according to departmental processes
• Take initiative and address issues beyond the immediate project
• Lead projects to completion and align with internal client needs

Key requirements

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification
• Excellent document drafting and negotiation skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple deadlines
• Strong communication skills with ability to manage expectations
