Specialist Product Manager, Digital Asset Solutions

Overview

In this role you will drive the strategy and roadmap for Northern Trust’s global digital asset product portfolio, focusing on commercialization, innovation, and lifecycle management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver market-leading digital asset solutions that support revenue growth and enhanced client outcomes. You will lead end-to-end product lifecycle, define target segments, and govern risk and performance. This is an opportunity to shape digital asset servicing within a global, regulated financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Execute the strategy and roadmap for the digital asset product portfolio
• Identify market trends, competitive developments, and opportunities in digital assets
• Translate platform capabilities, data, reporting into differentiated client solutions
• Lead end-to-end product lifecycle: development, launches, enhancements, post-launch assessments
• Define target client segments and evaluate market opportunities for growth
• Oversee product governance, risk controls, and performance outcomes
• Monitor success metrics and optimize client experience and commercial performance
• Collaborate with Sales and Relationship Management to support client opportunities and growth

Key requirements

• Extensive product management/strategy/tech delivery experience in financial services
• Strong knowledge of digital asset technologies (DLT, tokenization, CBDCs, stablecoins)
• Experience with asset servicing products (custody, cash management, fund services)
• Proven ability to develop roadmaps, manage lifecycles, and launch new products
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes in complex organizations
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills
• Commercial acumen with pricing strategy and business case development
• Experience scaling digital asset solutions in a global financial institution
• Understanding of regulatory landscape and industry trends
• Experience partnering with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Commercial teams
