Senior Data Scientist, Associate Director, Digital Innovations

Overview

In this role you lead the design, development and deployment of data science and AI solutions within Deloitte’s Tax Digital Innovation team. You translate complex tax/legal challenges into scalable, production-ready analytics products, working with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable client impact. Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of data science, analytics and AI solutions across Tax and Legal
• Translate client challenges into data-driven products and scalable solutions
• Oversee data processing, cleansing and validation for analysis and automation
• Apply statistical modeling, ML, deep learning and Generative AI techniques
• Own models from experimentation to deployment and maintenance
• Champion model performance, interpretability, governance and auditability
• Articulate value, benefits and risks of analytics to clients and senior stakeholders
• Collaborate with Tax/Legal SMEs, engineers and product teams on propositions and proofs
• Mentor data science colleagues and raise technical quality
• Drive automation and optimization of business workflows to improve efficiency

Key requirements

• Experience leading Data Science and AI initiatives from concept to production and adoption
• Strong stakeholder management translating technical concepts to business outcomes
• Mentoring and technical leadership of Data Scientists and AI practitioners
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, ML, GenAI and model evaluation
• Proficiency in Python and modern Data Science frameworks
• Experience with Azure AI services, including Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Foundry
• Strong understanding of Responsible AI, model governance and interpretability
• Experience with structured and unstructured data in Agile delivery environments
• Ability to translate emerging technologies into practical business solutions
