Lead Analytics Consultant

Overview

In this role, you will own end-to-end delivery of analytical products that support growth for Howden Employee Benefits. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional colleagues to turn broad commercial questions into reusable, decision-ready analytics products. The role emphasizes delivering value fast, building reusable components, and shaping governance for a small product team in a distributed, hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Turn commercial questions into decidable problems and define analytical products that are reused across the business
• Own end-to-end delivery from initial discussions to production-ready solutions used by stakeholders
• Lead development of reusable components, libraries, frameworks and working practices
• Design for reuse with clear documentation and maintainability by others
• Work within and help shape the firm’s software development lifecycle and governance
• Mentor and review colleagues’ technical work without line management duties
• Maintain delivery momentum amid shifting priorities

Key requirements

• Experience building analytical products end to end
• Proven ability to create reusable components and templates for others to use
• Strong Python analytics experience and exposure to related tools
• Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfort with uncertainty, fast pace and distributed team collaboration
• Experience in functioning within teams using Teams for collaboration
