Commercial Manager – Foodservice & Manufacturing
Salary: Up to £65,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance + 50% Bonus + Benefits
Alexander Steele Recruitment are working with an established FMCG business that represents leading European food manufacturers across the UK market.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Commercial Manager to manage and develop existing customer relationships whilst identifying and winning new business across the Foodservice and Manufacturing sectors.
The role is approximately 70% account management and 30% new business, making this an ideal opportunity for a commercially driven NAM or Commercial professional who enjoys both developing accounts and opening new doors.
The Role
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key foodservice and manufacturing accounts.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Build long-term relationships with customers and manufacturing partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations, tenders and customer reviews.
- Work across NPD, forecasting, demand planning and stock management.
- Identify opportunities to introduce new products and categories.
- Work closely with European manufacturing partners to deliver customer growth.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Around 2–3 years’ experience in a National Account, Commercial or similar FMCG role.
- Strong knowledge of the UK Foodservice market.
- Experience across chilled and/or frozen food. Ambient will also be considered.
- A proven track record of managing and growing customer relationships.
- The ability to open doors, develop new relationships and win new business.
- Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
- Private label experience would be highly advantageous.
Commercial Executives with the right experience and ambitious NAMs looking to step into a broader commercial role will also be considered.
