We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative / Multi-Trade Operative to join our team on an immediate-start basis. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with warehouse experience, a valid forklift licence and practical building/maintenance skills. You will be responsible for supporting day‑to‑day warehouse operations as well as assisting with the construction and installation of E‑House substations and general building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- * Receiving, checking, storing and dispatching goods and materials
- * Loading and unloading deliveries using a forklift
- * Maintaining accurate stock records
- * Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and efficient
- * Supporting the build and installation of E‑House substations
- * Carrying out basic carpentry, decorating and general construction work
- * Assisting with repairs, maintenance and installations
- * Using hand and power tools safely
- * Supporting general building and maintenance projects as required
- * Maintaining a safe working environment at all times
- * Following all company health and safety procedures
- * Reporting any hazards, defects or issues promptly
Requirements
- * Valid forklift licence
- * Previous warehouse experience
- * Practical experience in general building, construction or maintenance
- * Multi-trade / hands‑on skills
- * Confident using hand and power tools
- * Good problem‑solving skills and a practical approach
- * Good communication and organisational skills
- * Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines
- * Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- * Strong commitment to health and safety
