The school supports children and young people aged 3 to 19 with complex learning needs. Every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan, and many have autism or complex medical conditions. The role

You’ll work 10:30am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, as part of a class team.

• Support pupils one to one and in small groups during lessons
• Help pupils communicate using pictures, symbols and signing
• Support pupils at lunchtime, including help with eating
• Provide personal care and support with medical needs, with dignity and respect
• Work with teachers and therapists to help each pupil reach their goals

What you must bring

• Experience in care, healthcare, support work or a special educational needs setting
• A caring, calm and patient approach
• Comfort with personal care
• Availability for the full 10:30am to 2:30pm hours, term time
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to complete a new application
• Two references and the right to work in the UK

Pay and benefits

• £105 to £125 per day, paid weekly
• Four hour days that fit around family, study or another job
• Term time only
• Experience in a school rated Outstanding by Ofsted
• Training from day one and a dedicated consultant supporting you throughout
