Associate/Sr Associate/ Managing Associate-Commercial Property

In this role, you will support a busy commercial property practice in Bristol, handling a range of property matters for diverse clients. You will work within a collaborative, ambitious team to advise on acquisitions, disposals, leases, and asset management, guiding complex transactions from instruction to completion. You will build strong client relationships and contribute to business development while mentoring junior colleagues. This is a growth-focused position in a forward-thinking firm that values practical, commercially-driven advice.

Responsibilities

• Advise on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property
• Handle landlord and tenant matters, including leases and lease negotiations
• Work on telecoms property issues
• Manage asset management for investors, lenders, landlords and tenants
• Lead transactions from instruction to completion
• Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial property agreements
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted adviser
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Transactional Property Group
• Support business development and contribute to team growth
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and trainees (for senior candidates)

Key requirements

• 2-6+ years’ PQE (flexible including MA level)
• Strong technical skills across commercial property matters
• Pragmatic, commercial advising approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Confidence managing files independently and supporting complex transactions
• Interest in business development and team success
• Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring junior colleagues
