Supply Chain Coordinator
Ely, Cambridgeshire
Circa £33,500 + bonus, pension, cash healthcare plan and life insurance
Monday-Friday, site based, with flexibility around start and finish times
Put your planning skills to work and give yourself room to grow.
You’ve built experience as a planner. Now you’re looking for a role where you can develop, contribute ideas and see the difference your work makes.
In this Supply Chain Coordinator role, you’ll get to work closely with procurement, commercial and the General Manager, alongside regular contact with UK and overseas growers and suppliers. You’ll gain a broader understanding of how decisions are made and how your planning supports them.
Your day-to-day focus will be demand planning, responding to changes in product availability and factory performance. Once established, you’ll also get the opportunity to take ownership of improvement projects, such as strengthening communication between the fields and the packhouse.
With a flat structure, your contribution will be visible not only across departments but also across the exec team. As your experience grows, there’s scope for you to develop within supply chain or procurement, depending on your interests and performance.
This is not a corporate, clipboard-led environment. It’s a people-first food manufacturing business that values authenticity. Your personality matters here and you’ll be trusted to work in your own way.
The Operation at a Glance
This is a busy, 24/7 fresh produce operation supplying major UK retailers.
The site processes high volumes across multiple wash and packing lines, with a strong operational team already in place. The business is stable, growing and increasingly focused on how it can improve performance, capability and efficiency for the future.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in demand or materials planning within a fast-paced food or manufacturing environment.
- Strong, demonstrable Excel skills.
- Experience using demand, supply and production information to adjust plans.
Your current job title matters less than the planning experience you bring. Don’t let this put you off from applying if you have the skills but not the title!
