About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated AI Ethics and Compliance Officer to join their team in East London . This role is crucial for ensuring that our client’s AI initiatives are developed and deployed in a manner that is ethical, compliant with regulations, and aligns with societal values. You will work closely with legal, engineering, and business teams to establish best practices, conduct risk assessments, and ensure transparency and fairness in all AI-driven applications, fostering a culture of responsible innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI governance frameworks and compliance policies.
• Conduct ethical reviews and risk assessments for AI projects and systems.
• Monitor AI systems for bias, fairness, and potential ethical risks.
• Ensure compliance with relevant AI regulations and industry standards.
• Provide training and guidance to teams on AI ethics and responsible development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Ethics, Computer Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or ethics, with a focus on technology or AI.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML principles and their ethical implications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex ethical and regulatory requirements into practical guidelines.
