Royal Mail Parcel Sorter – Atherstone Parcel Sorting Centre Night Shift – 10pm to 6am
This full-time role involves sorting letters, parcels and mail bags at a Glenfield site, working 10pm to 6am on night shifts. Duties include unloading vehicles, moving items through the sorting centre, and loading mail bags, all while meeting tight deadlines and handling goods safely. Coach transport runs from Leicester City Centre. Pay is £16.44 per hour, with extra shifts possibly available during peak periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Unloading mail and parcels from vehicles.
- Moving parcels and mail through the sorting centre.

Physical Requirements
- Pushing trolleys weighing up to 25kg.
- Lifting and moving mail bags weighing up to 11kg.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Working in a fast-paced warehouse/sorting environment.
- Repeated lifting, moving and sorting of parcels and mail.
The role is physically demanding and involves being on your feet for most of the shift.
Working Hours and Compensation
You will be required to work at least 5 shifts per week (Monday to Sunday). Night Shift – 10pm to 6am – £16.44 per hour. You will receive 2 hours of paid travel time per shift, paid at your shift pay rate.
Important Information
- Commit to the assignment from the expected start date until the end of the assignment.
- Be flexible to work across the required shift patterns.
- Work weekends when required.
- Be comfortable working additional shifts when required.
- Be physically able to undertake the duties described above.
- Travel by the provided coach from Leicester City Centre to the Atherstone Parcel Sorting Centre.
