Field Sales Manager – Food Manufacturing

£36,000 rising to £40,000 + £20,000 OTE Bonus + Company Van

Location: Field-Based | UK

Are you a driven salesperson who thrives on winning new business? Do you enjoy getting out in front of customers, building relationships and seeing the products you sell make a real difference on the factory floor?

If so, this could be a fantastic opportunity to take your sales career to the next level.

I’m working with an established and well-respected supplier to the UK food manufacturing industry that’s looking for an ambitious Field Sales Manager to join its growing commercial team.

This isn’t your typical desk-based sales role. You’ll be out meeting customers, identifying opportunities, supporting product trials and developing new business across a diverse range of products used throughout the food manufacturing industry.

From specialist food ingredients and processing machinery to netting, twine and manufacturing consumables, you’ll have a broad portfolio of solutions to take to market.

What makes this opportunity attractive?

  • Excellent earning potential: £36,000 starting salary, rising to £40,000 following probation, plus £20,000 OTE bonus.

  • Full product training: You don’t need to be an expert across every product category. The business will invest in getting you up to speed.

  • Genuine autonomy: Take ownership of your territory, develop relationships and identify new business opportunities.

  • Hands-on selling: Work directly with manufacturers, supporting practical product trials and helping customers solve real production challenges.

  • Variety: Represent a diverse portfolio rather than being restricted to a single product category.

  • Established business: Join a respected supplier with an existing presence in the food manufacturing market.

Who would suit this role?

We’re looking for someone who is naturally proactive, commercially sharp and genuinely enjoys the challenge of winning new customers.

You’ll ideally have experience in B2B field sales or business development, with exposure to food manufacturing or a related sector.

Experience within meat manufacturing would be advantageous, but it’s certainly not essential. The right attitude, drive and ability to develop new business are what really matter.

You’ll need to be comfortable travelling regularly, visiting manufacturing sites and getting involved in practical product demonstrations.
