General Production Operative

Location: HD9 HONLEY

Hours: 7.30AM-4.30PM

£12.71 per hour – temp to perm contract – 37.5 hours weekly

About the Role

We are looking for a General Production Operative to join our clients team. You will be responsible for basic manual operations working with chemicals in a basic process, preparation of materials, basic stock control, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply compounds accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and load work for daily and weekly production.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workstation.
• Complete end-of-shift and end-of-week close-down procedures.
• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals safely in line with COSHH requirements.
• Carry out weekly stock checks and report shortages.
• Complete effective handovers and support colleagues when required.
• Assist with training new team members where necessary.
• Use IT systems

About You

You will have:

• Experience in a production environment – not warehousing or logistics – and in easy commute of HD9 Honley area
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A responsible and reliable approach to work.
• A basic understanding of chemical handling and COSHH would be an advantage.
• Basic IT skills and communication skills.
• A willingness to learn and take ownership of your work.
