Emergency Planning & Business Resilience Manager

Overview

Experienced EPRR professional leading the development, implementation and assurance of Emergency Preparedness, Resilience & Response and Business Continuity programmes. You will work with executive leaders and partners to ensure compliance with national standards and statutory duties, shaping plans for major incidents and emerging risks. The role represents the Trusts in local, regional and national forums and strengthens resilience across the wider health and care system. This is a senior, impact-driven position within a collaborative, mission-oriented Trust.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Trust’s EPRR and Business Continuity programmes
• Provide specialist advice to senior leaders, managers and clinical teams
• Ensure compliance with national legislation, regulations and NHS EPRR standards
• Develop, maintain and test emergency response, business continuity and incident management plans
• Lead multi-agency planning and partnership work across health, local authorities and emergency services
• Support incident management and ensure lessons learned are implemented
• Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including Board and system partners
• Horizon scan for emerging risks and develop preparedness plans accordingly

Key requirements

• Significant experience in Emergency Preparedness, Resilience & Response or Business Continuity
• Excellent knowledge of Civil Contingencies Act, NHS EPRR Framework and emergency planning principles
• Experience designing and delivering emergency plans, exercises and training
• Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working across organisational and professional boundaries
• Ability to analyse complex situations and provide clear specialist advice
• Educated to degree level in an appropriate subject; continued professional development
• Professional qualifications related to Emergency Planning & Business Continuity
