Full Stack Software Engineer

Overview

In this role you will help build and evolve the systems powering Octopus Electric Vehicles, enabling a greener, fairer car leasing experience. You’ll work in cross-functional squads to deliver robust APIs and engaging frontend experiences that scale across devices. You’ll own features end-to-end, mentor teammates, and contribute to a culture of maintainable, high-quality code. This is a chance to shape the customer and internal tooling that underpins the company’s mission to accelerate electric mobility.

Responsibilities

• Work within a cross-functional team on core products for customers or internal teams
• Build APIs and integrate with internal and third-party services to automate processes
• Develop frontend applications to create engaging user experiences
• Create performant, cross-browser, cross-device systems
• Maintainable and future-proof codebase, with knowledge sharing and mentorship

Key requirements

• Expertise in Python and React
• Experience designing expressive APIs with GraphQL across multiple data sources
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Strong fundamentals of coding principles, robustness, scalability, and maintainability
• Proven collaboration within teams and ownership from inception to delivery
