Overview

You will lead technology-enabled projects within Elsevier’s Digital Business Solutions Portfolio, driving clarity and momentum across cross-functional teams. You manage end-to-end delivery, balancing detail with an eye on the overall outcome, and steer decisions with senior stakeholders. The role blends leadership with pragmatic problem-solving to remove obstacles and deliver measurable outcomes. This is a mid-level, autonomous role that contributes to Elsevier’s mission to advance science and health through data-driven delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of moderately complex projects, defining business case, outcomes, plans, milestones and responsibilities
• Lead cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering and business functions with alignment to senior stakeholders
• Proactively remove obstacles, manage risks/issues/dependencies, coordinate mitigations and escalate with clear recommendations
• Establish performance measures, monitor delivery health and take corrective actions
• Drive timely decisions and resolve resource, capacity, and priority constraints with functional leads
• Constructively challenge assumptions and implement practical delivery improvements

Key requirements

• Experience delivering moderately complex technology or software projects from initiation to implementation
• Working knowledge of SDLC and agile delivery practices
• Strong leadership, facilitation, influencing, and negotiation across multidisciplinary teams and different levels of seniority
• Sound judgement and problem-solving in ambiguity and shifting priorities
• Strong analytical capability to interpret information into insights and recommendations
• Clear and adaptable written and verbal communication; comfortable with AI-enabled delivery tools
• Familiarity with change management principles and people impacts of new systems or processes
