Senior Management Accountant – Engineering

Overview

In this role you will provide financial leadership and commercial support to engineering operations, driving profitability and robust governance. You will lead a finance team, ensure timely monthly management accounts, and deliver insightful reporting to support decision-making. You will partner with operational stakeholders to interpret performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support budgeting and Group reporting. This is a hands-on role at a scale that values development, integrity, and cross-functional collaboration. You will contribute to a culture of high performance and continuous improvement in a critical business area.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team to high performance
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial reporting on time and accurately
• Analyse revenue, margins, costs and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities
• Partner with operations and commercial teams to provide financial insight for decisions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, working capital management, audits and Group reporting

Key requirements

• ACCA or CIMA qualified
• minimum five years’ management accounting experience in industry
• at least two years’ people management experience
• advanced Excel with strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
• knowledge of SAP and/or Sage 200 advantageous
