Senior Planning Engineer – Life Sciences

Overview

In this Senior Planning Engineer role, you will join the project controls team to drive performance reporting and analysis on major construction programs. You’ll work with cost and planning engineers to build robust baselines and progress methodologies, and deliver actionable insights to clients. You act as the main day-to-day client contact, guiding earned value, cost control, and change processes to keep projects on track. You’ll report clearly to stakeholders and help shape outcomes across complex programmes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cost and planning engineers to create WBS and robust baselines
• Establish progress and cost monitoring methodologies
• Produce project control reports and deliver performance analysis with recommendations
• Serve as primary day-to-day client contact on assigned projects
• Manage earned value analysis, progress updates, and cost control activities
• Oversee change control and baseline management processes
• Deliver timely reporting to stakeholders

Key requirements

• Numerate and computer literate
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Primavera (Oracle Primavera P6)
• Familiar with Oracle and SAP and web-based project control tools
• Typically a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with project control experience
